The final rating ranges from Class 1 (superior fire protection) to 10 (minimal fire protection). We are looking for motivated individuals that work well with others, who have an interest in learning what it takes to become a firefighter, those who want to get hands-on experience with various firefighter skills. WSFD Participates in Statewide Exercise at Mather

在周六, 4月6日, WSFD Battalion Chief Mark Hull participated as the Incident Safety Officer in a Statewide Full Functional Exercise. Participating agencies included CAL EMSA (California Emergency Medical 海洋之神登录入口 Authority), CAL -MAT(加州医疗援助队), CAL OES (California Governor's Office of Emergency 海洋之神登录入口), 加州军部, 还有很多当地医院. This 24-hour exercise simulated an MCI (Mass Casualty Incident) occurring at Levi Stadium during a Super Bowl. Simulated injuries included up to 750 individuals. An incident of this magnitude would overwhelm local and regional hospitals, necessitating the need to mobilize the State Operations Center and establish a mobile field hospital to treat the large number of simulated injured patients. A mobile field hospital was established at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, 国家医疗队, 来自周边县的医疗志愿者, 加州军部 worked cooperatively to assess and treat patients. Approximately 100 volunteers participated as patients during this large-scale mobilization training.

就在4月8日周一上午11点之前^th, WSFD E44, T45, BAT45 responded to Old River Rd / County Road 126 for reports of vehicle accident involving an SUV that had lost control, 越过堤坝, collided with a concrete pillar under the weir, 造成重大损失.  Additional reports indicated that there were two trapped occupants in the vehicle.  WSFD E44 arrived on scene and made access down the levee to assess the situation and begin patient care and extrication of the two patients. The T45 crew arrived on scene and placed their 装置 on Old River Rd above the weir, extended the aerial ladder for a high pick point, began building a rope rescue system to facilitate patient retrieval and removal. WSFD crews extricated the two patients from the vehicle, 把它们装在斯托克斯篮子里, utilized T45’s aerial ladder and rope system to perform a high angle rescue.  The patients were then transferred to awaiting gurneys and transported to the hospital.

This incident underscores the importance of technical rescue training as well as the versatility of aerial ladder 装置 (T45).
